Jeez, it's been a long time since I wrote a noteworthy blog post on the Fav Blockia site. This test update along with all the other things in the works for our long awaited and teased hardware update will start to come out slowly over the next few months while we expand our testing and system operations to include not only Fancy SMP Season 2.1 (the new Season 2). One of these new systems is a rework of our permissions system. While it's not completed yet and still in the works we will go into a little bit of details about our new rank system and special perks that come along with them starting with a new rank:

VETERAN

This new rank will be in line with a new focus for us of going back to our roots and getting to the community aspect we made from the start. By this we mean the following:
1. Veterans will inherit from not only one-time donation ranks but also member rank so that players will not need to wait who have this rank to get things like 6 rows in enderchests and other core features that people want to use.
2. These players will be able to bypass any restrictions that our QA council has access to.
3. Within the Discord players that have this rank will also be able to access our testing change-logs where all changes made that QA tests before players on the live servers see will be viewable.
4. This will be available to all players who have joined the server since November 2nd, 2023 to the phase one testing launch (7-1-26) that has been proven to have played at least once on any server created within that time regardless of time played.

along with the Veteran rank comes the following changes in terms of permissions:
1. There is no longer a restriction to the /tpa command ALL PLAYERS REGARDLESS OR RANK WILL HAVE ACCESS TO THIS BY DEFAULT
2. All players regardless of rank & playtime will now start with 2 rows of enderchest space and double every hour of playtime automatically.

For a more in depth look into the changes within the new server see the full change-log for everything up to this point below (it was too big to fit into Discord I tried).

Changelog: G_TEST-2.1.4.8 (7-01-26):

Global Changes:
Updated the backend servers to allow versions up to 26.2 for later testing. Fancy SMP' Season 2.1 testing does NOT support this version; only other servers will support it at this time.
Temporarily Closed Slime Block to put some more attention to it and give it some more time to cook. Thanks for helping us test this early version!

Website Bug Fixes:
Fixed a long-standing bug in our backend system due to our staff portal setup that caused players past 1.20.2 to be listed in a snapshot version.

Fancy SMP Season 2 Changes:
Zombie Jockeys will no longer be just babies and have a 10% chance to spawn now.
Spiders are no longer big and have reverted to their normal scale.
Cave Spiders are no longer 65% the size and have been reverted to normal size.
Wither Skeletons are now back to normal size.
Players can now breathe a sigh of relief, as they will now be able to breathe underwater for 20 seconds instead of 17 or more with the use of a scuba tank.
Zombie Villager Jockeys are no longer just babies on a Chicken but have a 80% less than normal spawn rate.
Players will now have 2 rows in their Ender chest by Default, doubling every hour of active playtime.
Native Support for 26.1.2
Backwards compatibility to 1.21.7
Players will no longer be able to filter items with Drip leaves.
Players will now be able to decorate Lily Pads found throughout the world.
Players will now be able to fish items & new fish types out of the void at the end.
Double Doors from Season 1 is finally back! Take advantage of them when the new update launches!
Note blocks will now display an interface when interacted with.
Crossbows will now be able to shoot more items from them, including but not limited to: bees, bucket of fish, lingering potions, Torches, and String!
Campfires will now grant players up to 4 extra hearts that will last for at least half a Minecraft Day
Added Audere to metallurgy, which will allow players to gain haste when an item has low durability remaining.
Players will now receive a guidebook covering new features & some current features on the server to help clear up confusion.
Fishing rods will now take Wool, items from chests, blocks from endermen, and items from villagers using the barbed and reeling enchantments.
To make up for the leftover Dripleaf filters, players will now be able to launch themselves upward using them as a launcher instead.
Look inside chiseled bookshelves and see what is in there without having to take it out manually.
Bats will no longer explode when near the player. while within the new world
The end dimension has been completely overhauled to include new structures, mob changes, and, most importantly, new loot. Including but not limited to: End Villages, New End Cities, redesigned gateway portals, new items, new enchants, a redesigned Ender Dragon fight, etc.
Players will also be able to see new end Crystals, A new altar for a player to see & use after the initial dragon fight commences on the server, re-spawning end Crystals, a heartbeat for when a dragon is at half health, getting faster when it gets closer to death, and more.
Players will now be able to craft way points to teleport to important spots while saving their /home limits. NOTE: This, from what I have been told, currently costs XP to use, but I haven't personally tested it myself.
Customize your tools and elytra using special trims via the smithing table. or change your materials in your elytra with diamonds, emeralds (cheaper version of diamond armor), etc.
Craft new armor, tools, weapons, etc. with Redstone, Resin, Quartz, Amethyst, Nether, Lapis Lazuli, or emeralds. I personally prefer Emerald armor as this will allow you to have the same protection level as diamond while saving your diamonds for more important things like beacons.
More food Varieties.
Dye books with 36 different colors.
In-game craft-able hats. Different system from our actual cosmetic system that will be added after this testing phase.
Players will now be able to lock barrels and chests but will need a key to access them to keep annoying griefers out.
Players can now use a clock to teleport back to their respawn point.
Craft multiple different types of compasses and recovery compasses.
Use a recovery compass to teleport back to your death point or skip that extra item and just do /back.
Portal Horns allow people to teleport to one another without the need for TPA. You can craft them using 2 iron and a enderpearl (stacked on top of each other).
Compasses will now point to loadstones.
Skip enderpearls across the water in game to cross gaps easily.
Place food on Dishes by renaming them to add Dish at the end of the name.

While there is a lot more changes involved with this update this will be all we will cover for now.
We can't wait to see you in game for this test!

THERE WILL BE BROKEN TEXTURES IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE RESOURCES.ZIP IN THE COMMUNITY DISCORD this phase is only testing the basic foundation of the server.

For Phase 2 testing the following will be implemented:
1. Resource pack will be linked internally with 1 pack and not 7 total packs
2. Server store implementation.
3. Slime Block and Prisons testing implementation as well as hardware changes.
4. Fully finished permissions system.
5. Blue Map implementation (community requested).
and more.
